Could you offer a second photographer?
Yes. Although in 7 years of being a wedding photographer, I’ve never been asked for one. As it happens, I’ve also never been told I didn’t capture something I should have. I much prefer to work alone, it may be more work but that’s how I roll. Blending in like just another guest and capturing real moments is something I might struggle with when I’m tasked with overseeing another photographer.
Do you do group shots?
Yes, absolutely. They’re an important part of your day and you’ll be pleased to know I can have them done in minimum time and fuss, allowing you to focus on enjoying your day, and me to focus on capturing the documentary moments that make your wedding story so unique. With that in mind, I recommend a maximum of 6 group shots in total.
How many images do we get?
You’ll receive a minimum of 300 retouched images (full day wedding coverage), in a mix of colour and black & white, all individually worked by me.
When do we get our images?
Up to 6 weeks usually but during busy periods like summer time, this can extend to 8 weeks.
Are you insured?
Do you design our album?
Your album is as important to me as it is to you, and so I want to get it right. I want it to be a true account of your day, and since I’m constantly capturing all these special moments on camera that perhaps you weren’t aware of, it’s fair to say I’m suitably placed to tell the story better than anyone. Once I’ve designed it, I’ll provide you with an online album proof which together we can tweak until it’s how you want it. Once approved by you, it’s then hand built to perfection.
Do you cover weddings further afield?
Yes. I’m based in Newcastle and offer my services throughout the UK. I have a particular soft spot for ceilidh dancing so if you’re getting married in Scotland please check out my Wedding Photographers Edinburgh page. If you’re getting married abroad I’d love to hear your plans too!
How do I go about booking you?
First of all you need to check I’m free to attend. I can get booked for key dates as far as 2 years in advance so you might want to get in touch fairly soon. Once we’ve established I’m free to attend your wedding, and you wish to continue your enquiries with me, then I’m happy to arrange a Skype meeting with you, or alternatively we can simply chat over the phone.
If you decide that I’m the right photographer for you, I’ll send you a booking form to fill in and return to me. Once I have this, and a £400 booking fee, your date is secured.
The remaining balance is due 28 days before your wedding day. Please note, I do not hold dates without a signed contract and paid booking fee.
Do we need to meet you before our wedding?
No, there’s no need to meet up before your big day. In the weeks leading up to your wedding, I’ll email you a wedding brief to gather the information I require. Things like timings and your list of family formal photos etc. Once I have this information, a simple phone call a few days before your wedding just to touch base and confirm everything, is perfectly adequate. This takes around 20 minutes to do. Simples.
